Africatown virtual black achievement fair:

A science-fair styled project where students have the opportunity to research and report on global contributions and achievements of people from the African diaspora. this includes science, arts, projects, politics, and culture. students can perform, create a presentation, or submit their work that was inspired by a Black achievement.

this event has an open division, so families can participate together! this event will culminate with judges announcing the winners from the various categories.

Africatown community field trips:

how can technology build africatown?

acei and a group of black engineers from Microsoft have teamed up to present the “how can technology build africatown?” workshops. students will have the opportunity to learn about how smart technology and architecture will play a role in the formation of our community. the students will have an opportunity to create and present an idea on how smart technology and innovation can be used to build communities of color - particularly in historically black neighborhoods like the central district.
